Anchor 1

I work to create the change I want to see in the world through my writing and films.

I started making films at KDOL-TV as a high school student in Oakland, CA, where I produced news stories and short narratives on topics I was passionate about. In 2015, my feminism themed short "We Will Persist" won Honorable Mention at the White House Student Film Festival, and since then I haven't stopped believing in the power I have to create art that moves people.

After graduating from Boston University with honors, I worked as an intern and later as a project manager for Relay Video in Shanghai, China. Now I work as a freelance writer for an interactive story series to be published on a soon-to-be-released mobile game by Avid.ly.

Television and film inspire me because it is a medium that brings change by introducing audiences to new perspectives. My professional goal is to make stories that are representative of the world we live in. I have made scripts and films that discuss mental illness, racism, and feminism in order to dispel some of the falsehoods that surround these subjects.

My goals are certain, the next steps are left to be determined.
